As a part of Social Awareness Activities of Brindavan College, a Blood Donation camp was organized at MBA/MCA Block, in association with Lions Blood Bank.
The program started with a formal inauguration ceremony in the presence of, Principal of Engineering Dr. KU Muthu, Dr.Mohammed Arif Pasha, Director of PG studies and Principal Of Architecture Prof.Ram Mohan Rao.
Principal in his motivational speech stated “Blood Donation is a healthy activity and every healthy individual should donate blood regularly. Director Dr.Mohammed Arif Pasha explained the importance of donating blood. Further Mr.Deepak , from Lions Blood bank explained the Pre/Post donation rules to the audience and gave valuable information about the importance of donating blood in today’s life.
Prof.Shuaib Ahmed Shariff MCA Department anchored the ceremony and it was concluded by the vote of thanks .
The response from students and staff was overwhelming as there was a huge crowd near the camp waiting for registration for donating blood. A total number of 150 donors donated the blood. The camp went on up to 4:00pm.
It was a mega event organized as a part of College’s social activities where students, faculty members and other staff who were associated with this event, truly experienced “the joy of giving”. The event let the lasting impression in the hearts and minds of all.
To observe the Swachhta Pakhwada campaign Bindavan College had organised a Cleanliness Drive at the college campus to create awareness among the students and staff to keep our surrounding clean.
The Director of PG Department Dr.Mohammed Arif Pasha and Principal of the Engineering College Dr. Muthu KU along with the faculty members and student volunteers participated in the cleanliness drive. The team started the campaign by cleaning the college premises and the play ground area by removing the waste garbage , sweeping and making the area clean.
It was a moment where all the members of the team came together with the focus and enthusiasm to keep our surrounding clean.
A speech on cleanliness and our role in making our country clean was delivered by the Director.

Sensitizing the students and staff on certain aspects are necessary factors for keeping them aware of sensitives issues.
The college provides equal opportunity for all to participate in various activities and processes. For this purpose, the college has made a committee such as Sexual harassment committee, anti-ragging committee, grievance redressal cell etc.

Anti-ragging squads are formed to monitor the different regions in and around the campus and they will be reporting to the Principal by entering their observation in the register kept for the purpose.
These committees have been formed with senior faculty members and non-teaching staff to monitor and address the student’s grievances
The information is displayed on the notice boards. Suggestion boxes and complaint registers have been kept in the different venues like Hostels, Reception and different floors of the building. Whenever the complaint has been noticed the committee will address the complaint with necessary action.
